Kia Europe introduced the latest evolution of the XCeed. It combines a refined design that aligns with the company’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, the latest connectivity and convenience features, enhanced safety technologies, and improved ride comfort.
Designed for customers with active lifestyles, the updated XCeed offers a comprehensive package in Europe’s C segment, blending everyday practicality with emotional design, refined comfort, and urban versatility.
Strengthening Kia’s presence in Europe’s largest segment

By offering petrol engines alongside mild hybrid powertrains, the XCeed is positioned as Kia’s design-led urban crossover, offering an emotional choice for lifestyle-driven customers in Europe. It supports customers across markets, ensuring continued relevance while maintaining product competitiveness and supporting production at Kia’s ilina production facility.

Reflecting Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the updated XCeed presents a modernised exterior and interior. Compared to the previous version, its design has evolved in line with ‘Opposites United’ approach, delivering a sleek, progressive crossover silhouette with strong emotional appeal.
The exterior body combiness a confident, elevated stance with a more compact silhouette. This appeals to customers who value both style and versatility in their everyday lives.
The styling updates include a newly designed hood, a revised front bumper integrating a new radiator and intake grille, and redesigned headlamp units and side fenders. New 16-inch and 18-inch alloy wheel designs have been introduced to add to the model’s visual identity and road presence. At the rear, a redesigned tailgate, new rear bumper, and updated lighting signature contribute to a wider, more progressive and modern appearance, strengthening the vehicle’s overall stance.
The refinement of proportions, including a 15 mm reduction in front overhang, enhances the vehicle’s compact and agile character. Despite this, the XCeed maintains a luggage capacity of 426 litres, ensuring everyday practicality. The elevated seating position and compact dimensions improve agility and driver visibility.
The exterior colour palette consists of nine colours. The new hero colour, Morning Haze, is accompanied by Cassa White, Deluxe White, Lunar Silver, Wolf Grey, Black Pearl, Blue Flame, Magma Red, and Penta Metal.
The interior layout has been renovated to enhance both comfort and perceived quality, with a stronger focus on simplicity and usability. The improvements include a redesigned crash pad, an updated infotainment system, updated air vents, new door handle garnishes, a revised steering wheel, and updated seat coverings.
Practicality is further supported by features such as the Multimode Touch Display, enabling intuitive control of key vehicle functions, including infotainment and climate settings, while a redesigned gear selector improves overall ergonomics.
Customers can choose from black cloth, cloth and artificial leather combinations, or full artificial leather upholstery in black or Misty Grey, offering a range of finishes to suit different lifestyle preferences.
Advanced connectivity
The XCeed builds on Kia’s current connectivity ecosystem, offering a familiar and consistent user experience across the company’s newer models.
The crossover integrates Kia’s wide infotainment system, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central navigation display. This dual-screen configuration improves the clarity of driving information and enables more intuitive access to vehicle functions to mitigate distractions.
Now compatible with the XCeed’s infotainment system, Kia Connect gives customers access to cloud-based services and real-time vehicle diagnostics. Complemented by the Kia App, the model also offers remote access and control for added everyday convenience.
The introduction of Digital Key 2.0, combined with a wireless phone charging system, allows users to access and operate the vehicle via compatible smart devices. This makes it even more convenient, particularly in shared or multi-user scenarios.
Comprehensive driving and parking assistance
The updated XCeed introduces an enhanced package of driving and parking assist features. Coupled with a smooth automatic transmission, an electronic parking brake, compact dimensions, and a high seating position, the model delivers an easy and excellent driving experience.
Driving assist features include:
- Highway Driving Assist (HDA): combines Smart Cruise Control (SCC) and Lane Following Assist (LFA) to maintain a set following distance, keeps the car centred in its lane, and adjusts the speed of travel based on navigation data and road limits
- Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA): rear corner radar sensors detect vehicles in the driver’s blind spot when a turn signal is activated; steers or brakes to prevent collisions
- Rear Cross-traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA): detects vehicles approaching from the left or right while in reverse and warns the driver; automatically applies the brakes if necessary
Parking assist features include:
- Parking Assist: sensors in the front and rear scan the surrounding area and detect nearby obstacles to park remotely
- Rear View Monitor (RVM): displays the area behind the vehicle in the main screen to help with safe parking and driving
Other available systems include:
- In-Cabin Camera (ICC): monitors driver behaviour for signs of distraction or fatigue to support safer driving responses
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA 1.5): camera and radar-based system detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists
Improvements in comfort
Revisions to the rear suspension and improvements in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) enhance ride comfort, particularly for rear passengers, and deliver a more refined and quieter experience in everyday driving conditions. These updates improve usability for long journeys and underline the XCeed’s suitability as a versatile crossover.
The performance of the Drive Mode Select has also been refined. The Normal and Sport drive modes have been recalibrated to create a clearer distinction between their individual driving characteristics.

Powertrains for European needs
The XCeed continues to offer a range of petrol and mild hybrid powertrains.
The 1.0-litre T-GDI engine delivers 115 PS and is available with a manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). The 7DCT comes paired with mild hybrid technology, while it is optional with the manual transmission.
The 1.6-litre T-GDI engine is offered with outputs of 150 PS and 180 PS, paired with a 7DCT.
These powertrain options offer an efficient and flexible solution for everyday driving, combining responsive performance with reduced fuel consumption.
